Once again Oakridge placed their students at the heart of experiential learning.

PHON – O – THON was organized for Grade 1 on 30^th Jan 2011. An exercise was designed that involved passing a secret message to a classmate by making a phone call and then sending a text message to the teacher confirming that the secret message had been passed. This task gave hands on experience to the students in learning about different means of communication.  

The first telephonic message was passed by the teacher by making a phone call to a child & thereafter the children kept passing the message to the next classmate till it reached back to the teacher. Nearly 200 phone calls were initiated by enthusiastic students of grade 1 to ensure the success of the PHON – O – THON. It was indeed a thrilling learning experience for the kids and probably some parents too! We appreciate the support of all the Grade 1 parents in making this a huge success.
