The much awaited event Senior School Prize Day was celebrated on 9 August. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Jean Manuel Duhaut the Director, Alliance Francaise. Mr.Duhaut spoke on the increasing significance of the French language in today’s world. He also spoke about Alliance Francaise’ endeavor to promote French culture in India. Mr.Duhaut advised the students not to be disheartened if they do not win a prize because there are always opportunities and one can make use of them to prove their abilities.
The Prize Day witnessed a group of beaming boys and girls walking up in pride to collect their prizes. When asked how he felt being selected as the overall prize winner Karthik Vasisht of Grade 7 remarked he was very happy and felt encouraged to take part in more competitions.
The programme came to a close with the school song reverberating the auditorium. As the saying goes….Winning isn't everything, but the will to win is everything and we are sure we will have a lot more students vying for prizes in the years to come.
