Teachers’ Day

When I walked towards my classroom, I was hushed away into the passage – not to enter for some time. Upon entering, I was surprised by a fully decked-up empty classroom. Seconds later, the children popped up from under the benches and shouted wishes. Not to mention the array of gifts! I was further surprised by parents who joined the celebration. They volunteered in serving food to the children. The advance celebration of the exceptional Teacher’s Day was a grand event. I was overwhelmed by the children’s enthusiasm and am extremely fortunate to be the one shaping one year of their life…
