Environmental pollution is one of the biggest problems the world faces today. It is an issue that troubles us economically, physically and in every day of our lives. So as to reduce the problems regarding pollution, we the students of 11th grade managed to collect papers and books from our classes. We segregated these into useful and not useful groups. We even collected stationary to provide the kids with them.

We started on Friday, the 23^rd of April, and continued to collect such waste papers/material throughout the next week. We were able to gather a lot of newspapers, magazines, waste papers, files, charts, notebooks etc. In those 5 days, we were able to cover the entire junior and senior blocks. Once we collected a substantial amount we began the segregation process. Each of us took charge of a recyclable waste we had collected and began dividing them. All the recyclable wastes were later taken for recycling and the rest were saved to use later on.

After one cycle of this recycling process, we continued in earnest. We managed to gather a lot of recyclable and non-recyclable waste from various parts of our school, and it truly made us realize the amount of paper waste our school was generating almost on a weekly basis. Using this model we were able to generate a degree of awareness, clean up our school and get a lot of recyclable wastes recycled.

The plan was that we would visit nearby villages to our school, clean them up, sell the waste papers generated, and after assessing their problems, we would try to solve them using the funds generated. We will be going to the villages on Friday, 29^th April, to carry out a reconnaissance assessment and to begin this wonderful process. We will be visiting the villages under the supervision of Mr. Venkat Reddy sir. Anyone interested to take part in this operation can contact Venkat Sir.
