Conservation of energy

Mrs. Jhansi Lakshmi one of our tenth grade parent spared her valuable time with our grade IX students for about 45 minutes in the ICT Lab 2 to enlighten them, the importance of conservation of energy (especially electrical energy). We all think about saving our environment but we never really put it to action. Mrs. Jhansi , had taken some time to show us the ways to finally put our thoughts into action. We realized that there were some simple ways with which each one of us could contribute to save our environment. It was a mind broadening and informative experience for all of us.

Topics highlighted in the presentation were, different forms of energyy, need for the conservation of energy, position of India in the world in consumption of energy, areas of energy loses and ways to control it, simple ways and techniques where conservation of energy is possible (usage of grey water for plants, growing more of native plants than lawns, use of solar energy, designing buildings in such a way that you get more light and many more.)

The lecture was simple, clear, interactive and effective. Students were motivated and clarified their queries.
