Independence day celebration – grade 1
India
got its freedom in the year 1947, Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru said “At the stroke of
midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom”. A
big salute to our National heroes like Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Chandra Shekhar
Azzad, Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose and others leaders whose sacrifice
is the result of an independent nation today. Today we are the largest
democratic country in the world. Our strength is to find unity in diversity. Every
citizen of our country can do their bit to appreciate and respect the sacrifice
of the brave men who laid their lives to get us freedom. At Oakridge we strive to prepare our students
to be the well-educated citizens of tomorrow and lead our country to a brighter
future. This special
week saw the spirit of patriotism in the little ones of grade 1, they proudly
sang songs like “Vande Mataram”, “Nanha munna rahi hu” and many more. Take a
look…
