April 22nd, 2014.
Our very own student, Dhruv Sawhney took
some time off from his busy schedule to come interact with couple of our
students who showed keen interest in knowing more about what the SP Jain
Institute has to offer.
From being a kid when we last saw him, you
could see how Dhruv transformed into this young, professional adult. It was a
treat to see him interact with the students of grade XII. He went over the
details of what the institute is about from a student’s point of view, spent
time talking about his reasons behind choosing SP Jain Institute, and spoke
about college in general. It was great to see how he kept the students engaged
with all his stories.
Here is a reflection of the experience, in
the words of one of the students:
Thanks to the Careers & Alumni Department
in school we were introduced to one of my senior who is currently studying at
SP Jain Institute. He was back from Dubai and was ready to start his internship
with Karvy, yet he had made the time to come interact with us and talk to us
about SP Jain Institute as well as what college is mostly about. From this
interaction, I personally was able to get a better understanding of what
college may be like and it definitely got me thinking of what I want to be able
to gain from my experience at college. Dhruv was very patient and was open to
answering many questions asked by us. This initiative has made me feel that any
time I may have doubts or questions about college, I can certainly approach
Dhruv or through our Careers and Alumni Department, be guided by our Alumni who
may be pursuing something similar. It certainly was a very reassuring feeling!
