In an age of dwindling and diminishing values it was good to see the Oakridgers gear up for community service on Saturday 4th December. I am witness to the tremendous response the Believe in India programme evoked in our children especially the Grade XI students who have always stepped forward in taking the initiative whether it is a fund raising drive or sharing their time with the students of the partner schools. I feel this is a very good initiative on the part of the school to provide opportunities to children that reinforce moral values among them. One is truly humbled by such experiences and it is a matter of pride to see how a small gesture on our part can empower a lesser privileged child to feel accepted in society and be a part of the mainstream culture. I would like to commend the grade XI students on their sincere efforts in trying to make a difference.
