The adventure camp for grade IX CBSE AND IGCSE to Karjat near Mumbai was organised by Holiday Camps from 4th Jan.to 9th Jan.2011.Thirty five students accompanied by three teachers boarded the train from secunderabad station on 4th Jan. and reached Kalyan the next day at 6-30 am.From there we boarded a bus and reached our campsite,Karjat at 8.30 am.Our stay was at a beautiful resort.We refreshed ourselves and the first activity -Trekking to Kondana caves began.It was a wonderful 5-6 km trek followed by rapelling.It was fun and the students enjoyed all the activities,especially flying fox(zip line)and river crossing.The most exciting activity was the free fall.And apart from these activities,there were speeches on First Aid Safety Measures.On the last day there were some team building activities and games.The highlight of the camp was the "Star Gazing"on a wintry night,where we could see the planet Jupiter with its rings.
Every good thing comes to an end and finally we bid goodbye and boarded the bus to Kalyan .As a finishing touch we could also do some shopping at a Mall in Kalyan after which we boarded the train and reached Hyderabad on 9th Jan.It was indeed a memorable trip and we thank the Principal for providing us this opportunity.
