We had a great event on 28th January 2011. We unveiled the logo of our new initiative, called Green Rangers, a mission with a vision, to lead the fight against Air Pollution. We were honored and wished all the best by our Chief Guest, Mr. M.S. Sundarajan, an eminent banker, and guests of Honor Mr. Shankaran, Director and Mr. S. Aravamuthan, Director Corporate Advisory Pvt. Ltd.
The mission of our project is to make a difference- a small difference in the global situation but a large difference in the city of Hyderabad. We began in a humble manner with recycling of paper and E-waste, hoping to spread awareness among our students and gradually spreading the message of Going Green to the residents of our city. We’ve now decided to expand our mission and reach out to a greater number of people, hoping to inspire and create awareness on the importance of Going Green. Our first step in this venture is to reduce Air Pollution in our city.

ReplyDeleteI place my thoughts about the consequences of not being able to tackle the issue of climate change aggravated by pollution in various forms. It is a foregone conclusion that 2 Deg c increase in temperature will cause dooms day and knowing the fact, how can one be so ignorant? All efforts in what ever form and steps should slow down or retract the temperature increase which is caused mainly by carbon. Hence carbon is the enemy of the state and for us and let us tackle it head on. We need a basket of solutions and let each one of us enable a solution to be able to bring about the solution. I propose to start a sub group with in the green rangers to tackle and enable carbon sequestration and awareness. Pl email if you are interested to join - vchalasani007@gmail.com.

A very good initiative. I'm happy to see my kids (Mihir and Mayank) participate in such awareness campaigns
