A lot of water’s flowed below the bridge and enriched many a river bank along the way….is the feeling we get as yet another Grade 6 batch has beautifully progressed out of the protected environs of junior school into the now closer-to-the-more-cut-throat-real-world-senior school!
It was nostalgia all the way as each student smartly marched up behind their very proud teachers onto the stage as a ‘Junior school’ student for the very last time in their schooling lives. It will be a moment forever etched in their minds and cherished time & again. As they leave the ‘PYP’ nest to fly out into the open sky, we wish them a life of precious relationships, magical moments, enriching events, sincere successes and happy hearts!
The batch of 2011-12 has successfully graduated from grade VI!
Anuradha Thota, Class Teacher of Grade VI ‘A’ says
As said by the Honorable A. P. J. Abdul Kalam “I am not interested in listening to 100 ways by which it cannot be done. Can you tell me one way in which it can be done? If I am authorized, I will remove the word ‘impossible.”
And I am proud to tell that the word ‘Impossible’ is deleted from the dictionary of this batch of students. I will never forget to mention about the charity sale organized by them to spend their time and make a difference in our neighborhoods. Not only did they learn about themselves, they also learned a lot about how the world works.
Every student had a talent, whether obvious or undiscovered. I have to appreciate the diverse skills, gifts, and passions that all of them have. The Charismatic energy shown in the sports by Venkat, Sahzeb, Malvika and Apeksha , tabla by Rishi, guitar by Jaswantand not to forget the singers Ruthvikaa and Malvika. The creative group Diya,Lipi, Poojita and Trisha were dedicated to the beautification of our class. The Class wouldn’t have been lively without the pen fights, hand cricket and flying rockets by siddarth.G, Vaibhav, Akshath and group. I will definitely miss Siddharth.K, Kaushal, Vijwala and Rushabh for their humour and everlasting energy, and how I can forget the cute smiles and innocent looks of Ritika,Darshini and our mobile encyclopaedia Mruthyunjay. Anirudh, Mansi and sum of all talents Sampreeti for their sensitive, Soft and gentle nature without whom the class wouldn’t be calm. The genius Siddhath.D always inspiring others with his Rubik’s cube. To be remembered Amogh and Rishik for their Commitment and Discipline.
Well done students! You seized wonderful opportunities, academic, cultural and sporting and made them your own. I am proud being your teacher.
Dear students, As you face a new academic year, my advice to you is to continue soaring, continue boldly stepping forward, continue marching towards the beat of your drum and may the year that lies ahead be rewarding.
Before I conclude today, I would like to acknowledge the wonderful parents, who have guided and supported us. My thanks and fondest best wishes go with you one and all.
Ms.Heminder Kler class teacher of Grade VI B has this to say about her class……
The parents of grade 6B have been waiting for a long time and I am sure no one will thank me for making a long speech. I will try to be as concise as possible.
First and foremost I will like to tell my students that each one of them hold a special place in my heart. A strict disciplinarian as I am often known to be they a have borne up withme wonderfully well. As they say ‘Good times fly by’, it seems but yesterday that we were introducing ourselves to each other and yet here they stand today, in their graduation garb.
6 B has been a fine mix of students. I was lucky to have Chitin and J.K. who would make everyone laugh no matter what the situation may be. Abdul, Sriram and Anirudh ensured that I was always vigilant and alert. Ayush, Sreya and Abhinav who with their intelligent questions sent me scurrying for cover and compelled me to stretch the boundaries of my knowledge. It was a relief to have whiz kids like Vishnu, Amita, Avani and Sai sharan who dealt with my cyber woes in no time. Then there were many creative geniuses like Prasanna, Namratha, Koushik and Sanskriti who could make the class presentable in a jiffy. I also had very responsible students like Bhargav, Aishwarya, Aryan and Sruthi, entrust them any task and I could forget about it. They carried it through to perfection. How can I forget Akshun who was the life and soul of every class talk and Anannya whose beautiful writings made me want to read more. Amid all these students it was a balmy experience having Ritika, Sindhura, Latha, Sana and Keerthi who with their calm demeanors could cool down the chaos which otherwise threatened to prevail throughout the day.
Unique they all have been but together they form a lovely whole. Today I thank all the Grade VI students whom I have taught for making me realize the forgotten joys of childhood. They all have contributed as much to my learning as I have to theirs. If I can inspire others half as much as you have inspired me, I know I will have been successful.
Congratulations on your day, follow your passions, continue to be leaders, and best of luck in your future.
Ms.Aruna Rajkumari class teacher of Grade VI C has this to say about her class…….
It’s time for me to say goodbye to all my students of Grade 6C. I have made many cherished moments this year. So it is with happy memories that I send you out of the door to face what is in store for you in the next year.
On this special day, I would like to share my true feelings about each student in my class of 6C.
Well, Apurva, I will miss your mesmerizing sweet smiles and your pleasing talk. You always make my day.
Umama, Raniya and Nainika are my wonderful angels who quietly yet successfully perform their responsibilities. They touch my heart with their gentle nature.
Himika and Soraya rock the class with their magnetic communication skills. I am going to miss them terribly.
Esha and Rhea are my popular pair in the class. I appreciate their guts and courageous nature.
Alekhya and Annanya are my strengths. They are always there to volunteer and help.
Vibha is multi-talented. She is so poised and lady-like in her gestures that it’s a pleasure watching her.
My boys:
Praveen, Shubham, Mufaddal, Divyansh and Arindam are intellectuals in my class who are self-controlled and carry themselves very well.
I am happy that Suheef, Tejaswi, Pradyoth and Kushal have shown commendable confidence in themselves. I appreciate their sincere efforts to do well.
Bagath has come up as a strong boy who handles situations with a strong mind and confidence. I will miss your phone calls definitely.
I believe every beautiful thing comes in a small packet. It rightly says for Arjun. He is loaded with multiple talents. I will miss the wonderful person in you.
Aneesh, Pranav, Rishith and Mujtaba storms the class with their enthusiasm and excitement. Its sometimes bittersweet moments that we have shared, but children, I would love you all to grow into great personalities and I appreciate your confidence.
To end I would like to tell that I enjoyed so much being your class teacher. The one thing I tried to teach you to last throughout your life is to make you know that you are SPECIAL and there's no one else like you!" My love and prayers are always with you. May God bless you all. Thank you.

Honorable Chief Guest Ms Petra, Headmistress ma’am, beloved Parents, my colleagues and of course my dear students. I really feel so proud and delighted that my students are graduating to the next program. Year 2011-12, another overwhelming year. It seems like yesterday when I was waiting in the corridor to receive my new batch of students and here they come as another constellation in the galaxy of Oakridge. My brilliant stars Nitya, Divitha, Ninad, Namish, Vijeet and Vineeth who Spread the light of their knowledge and made us feel proud, not to forget, the class bagged “literary award”. My stylish and and genious stars,Harishitarjun,Megha,Khushi Chaudhari,Nitin and Kaushik. My hardworking and responsible Asteroids Sampath,Aasritha, Viksit,Abhinandan without whom it was difficult to manage the class and ofcourse my twinkling stars Sampreeth, Siddharth, Teja, Aaryan, Vinay, and Rishi umm..”Naughty with the Brains” my class would have been gloomy without them,and Last but not the least My creative wonders Sthuthi, Paridhi, Ruchi,Shruthi,Khushi Parakh, adorable girls who made my room decorative and innovative. Thank you children for the wonderful support you all have given me, I will miss you from the bottom of my heart and wish that all my stars shine like diamonds in the sky of success.

I cannot but help being nostalgic at this time!!!
It was a great privilege to be the class teacher of VI ‘E’. It was akin to me being at the driver’s seat in a space station and my students being the crew. The flight spanning the last one year was exciting, fun filled and truly enriching. My children were amazing – highly intelligent, tech savvy, thirsty for knowledge, cohesive, took pride in themselves, rightly questioned the logic of many decisions and above all they have the zeal to excel. With so many positive traits in them my job became that much more challenging to take them to higher echelons. All I had to do, in addition to academics, was to make them dream and deliberate on the ways to make them a reality. Further, I also had the fortune of taking them to the zone of unknown, be it be public speaking for Chairman’s Trophy or structured thinking or giving them opportunity to showcase their creativity and guiding them enroute to overcome their challenges. It gives me joy and happiness to see them blossom and come out with flying colours in these and many more spheres. The success of PYP exhibition showcased their intrinsic potential, creativity, out of box thinking and above all fostered team spirit. Coming to my children
Anshul, Gunank, Ananya, Mehak, Kruthika, Maansi, and Aishwarya shouldered additional responsibilities and were my trusted lieutenants.
Vineeth, Varun, Nishant, Advait, Remi and Pooja developed a flair for writing
Annie, Snigdha, Shreya S, Shreya K, and Ayman were helpful throughout
Malik, Kartik, Pranai and Agastya possess great positive attitude
Akhil, Yash, Ibrahim, Dheer, are the life of the class
My space station would not have moved with requisite speed without the help of my children.Thankyou and God Bless you, my children. And a special thanks to you parents for your constant support and constructive criticism.

"There is a good reason they call these ceremonies commencement exercises. It is because Graduation is not the end; it's the beginning”. So, my dear students, as I congratulate you on achieving another feather in your cap, I hope that you will achieve many greater milestones in your lives.
I feel I was very fortunate to be the class teacher of the 26 best students of VI F. They welcomed me with their arms wide open after being taught by the same class teacher for 2 consecutive years. Each one of you has been special to me in his or her own right way.
The creative bunch of girls, Annanya, Raashi, Tanya, Akaansha and Neha always made the class bright and esthetic with their ideas and artistic skills.
Then I had the responsible ones in Tulasi, Raza and Ria C who relentlessly did the duties given to them.
The sincerity and intelligence of Ria T, Kushal and Eeshaan never failed to impress me.
Even the silent ones like Sai krishna, Lakshia, Sai planet, Vashisth and Prem Sai made their presence felt among the chatterboxes with their honest and pure attitude.
My naughty ones – Arjun, Harshit, Varun and Pranav always kept the class in splits and lively. I know that I have been strict with them at times but then, the credit for it goes entirely to them!
Students like Vijay, Sumanth, Sai Nishanth and Rushil kept that much required balance in class by giving me both smooth and tuff times throughout the year.
And finally, I have my two adorable students in Isaiah and Sunkeerth who showed great respect and love towards me whenever I was upset with them.
My Dear Students, few things go better with a cap and gown than a thoughtful quote that reflects your own pride in a job well done! So here’s one from the great Mark Twain “"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

A brief note to bid you farewell as you prepare to leave the junior school after your final yr. Time has gone by so fast… they say time flies when you are having fun. I guess it’s true. This has been an incredible yr for us. We have grown and learned so much. We have shared all kinds of moments; happy, sad, fun, magical… We have stepped away from our comfort zones and dived into so many unforgettable experiences. Bringing the world into our class rooms has been really powerful and inspiring not just for you but also for me. All the adventures, great moments and difficult times have helped us create not just a class but ‘our’ class. Each one of you has given their best and worked really hard through out the yr. I can’t find the words to describe how proud I am of you. My VIH students were one of the best behaved and the model class. Punctuality was the key for Billionth, Kanaka, Sarad, Ameya,Priyanka who ensured that not even one precious moments were wasted. My quite ones like Satviki, Shreya, Vivek, Mahima who were silent yet efficient. My responsible group were Aarushi, Niharika, Trisha,Anish, Adya who didn’t say no to any task given to them. The ones who made my day bright with their sweet smiles are Prajna, Sushmita, Vaishnavi.The class wouldn’t be lively without my mischievous Arsalan, Meghna, Tabish, Nitya, and Rithvik. And last but not least I have Vedha,Shaib,Niteesh who evolved as days went past and have emerged as confident individuals. I am so thankful for all your smiles and hugs. I am grateful for all that we have shared. Thanks for opening your hearts and letting me be part of your lives but I’d especially like to thank you for helping me become a better educator. Thank you for making me feel that my job is not a job but a passion. Each of you has made a difference for me. I would like to wish you the best in all your undertakings in the future. I will miss you all and will never forget you. Thank you.
