When it comes to our
children’s education, entering the first grade represents a big milestone.
Fortunately there are ways to ease the transition. Parents of Pre-Primary were
all ready for a memorable graduation day on 13/4/12 and then to their surprise
grade 1 team took them to a prospective year ahead.
Grade one! It’s quite a
milestone in a child’s life...and a parent's! For some children, grade one
marks the first time they’ll be away from home for an entire day. It also marks
the beginning of formal education where days are more structured. Children of
grade 1 are involved in lot of activities like drama, dance, games, music,
hands on activities and many more. We as educators believe that education
starts at home.
Talk to your ward about
what might happen on the first day ,tell them the name of their teacher, what
the classroom will look like, and some of the activities they can expect to be
involved in.
Get Involved when parents and teachers work together as a team,
children are more likely to succeed at school. Let your child’s teacher know
about any concerns you have regarding their behavior or health.
Encourage Independence children should be encouraged to do
their chores independently like eating on their own, dressing up, putting their
toys away, etc.
Set up a routine that the child begins to recognize.
Follow these simple steps and in no time you will realize how easy the
change was. So once again Hearty congratulations on completing the Pre primary
grade and looking forward for a successful year ahead.
