Learning beyond the classroom - Field trip to A.P Fire station
Grade 1 F students
experienced a fun yet educational field trip on 24-09-2014 when they visited
the Andhra Pradesh Fire Station. They had a great learning, touring the station
and observing how the firefighters live day-to-day. Learners observed different
equipment’s used by firefighters which was displayed for them. The fire station
officer explained them about fire safety and how they respond during fire
emergency situations. They saw different types of Fire engine’s, later a live
demo was given by fire station officers, where they saw a firefighter put on
his full gear and was trying to put off the fire using different types of water
pressure pipes. All the kids were so excited and even commented how they want
to be firefighters when they grow up. These are the experiences kids will take
with them for the rest of their lives!
