A Day of Achievement...

Many a day we would chide them, play along with them, guide them and every day we would see them grow through all the smooth and rough patches on the road of life and the destination to success. But today it was finally the moment to let go of that finger which we held for such a long time.

Although the stage to bid goodbye, this time around we were proud to walk them down the aisle .Our responsibility of “facilitating “was now complete.

For the first time ever in the history Oakridge, we have successfully conducted or say celebrated the graduation ceremony for CBSE class of 2013 on 20th April.

Hubbub and uproar in the dressing room, confusion over what side the tassel should hang, clamor over who should stand first in line, with anticipation in their eyes, nervousness in their hearts. Until the final call!!

Amidst the cheers the jitters disappeared, they beamed with pride, holding their heads high as they collected their ‘VISA’ to the next destination.

Having saved this piece for the finale… The valedictorian speeches made by TWO outstanding students were the highlight of the event as Nikita Reddy and Simran Jain spoke regarding their stay at Oakridge. They tread down the nostalgia lane on their enriching experience to Duggal bitta with ’the pioneer’ behind their success thought the years. CAPTAIN ROHIT SEN BAJAJ,the principal and mentor who taught more than what they could ask for in that short trip. They thanked the entire school including the teachers, bursar, and sub staff, everyone who were the pillars of strength in this long yet fruitful journey. The audience (including us) were spell bound as a feeling of reminiscence emerged. Their long association with the institution and their gratitude for the nurturing care and support received at Oakridge was truly heart-touching for all of us.
And then, suddenly all that joy faded away (only momentarily) as their mentors shared the last few words of wisdom ,notes of nostalgia and wished them the very best for the bright future ahead.

Time to sign off as they did … with “HATS IN THE AIR”!!
