The students from University Prep, Seattle walked into the Oakridge campus to a traditional welcome. They were taken around on a school tour and were introduced to a Yoga session and a dance session by the Activity teachers here.
The students also visited a weaving unit run by Mrs.Suraiya who believes in revival of the Nizami-Persian fabrics. 'It is an incredible and an inspiring experience' said Kelly Herrington the counselor from University Prep. The students found the interaction very informative and interesting, they were fascinated looking at the women work magic on the looms. It turned out to be a tiring day but the students thoroughly enjoyed their experience at the Newton campus.
