An awareness session for the teachers of 7 and 8 grades of CBSE and MYP curriculum had been conducted by Ms. Kiranmayee on 4th June’ 2014. The session included the information about the identification of the children with learning difficulties in the classes with the given set of indicators.
The process of functioning of the S. I. Unit and the importance of the
role of the class teacher as well as the subject teacher in accommodating the
SEN students in their classes was explained.
As “Early intervention is the
key of success for these children”. The teachers were informed to identify
the students with learning problems in their classes and refer them to the
Supportive Instruction as early as possible, so that the intervention can be
commenced with improvement in the academic results.
