27 eager Grade 6 Spanish students along with2 even more eager teachers paid a visit to the Chowmahalla Palace, completed in the 1850s. It was the official residence of the Nizams of Hyderabad & the seat of the ‘Asaf Jahi’ dynasty. During the couple of hours we spent at the palace, looking at the beautiful exhibits, wondering, admiring, inquiring and most of all, the children making extensive notes for the project, we seemed to have gone back in time to a “Royal Era” in all its glory & splendor!
