The Student Led Conference of Grade 5

The Student Led Conference of Grade 5 was a huge success. The students were accompanied by their parents and got an opportunity to talk to them about their educational progress. The conference was facilitated by the students and they followed an agenda that they had developed prior to the conference.  They shared examples of their work through their portfolios.  Children also analysed their strengths and weaknesses and reflected upon their learning in Grade 5. The best part of the Conference was that it engaged the Parents and Students alike with a number of hands on activities.

Parent Feedback:

Our first SLC was really a wonderful experience, although we never had a doubt about Oakridge making our child an all rounder, the SLC just reconfirmed our belief! We were very impressed with the whole process and loved the fact that our child graded herself (profiles) and came out with explanations for it also. She showed us all the wonderful things she learned and did throughout the year. A great job done by the school and the staff too. Thank you!
