Teacher’s Reflection: Oakridger’s Amazing Feats in Aqua Gymnastics!!

Every day, our children are becoming more sedentary and obese. They are putting themselves at risk for diseases that have been on the rise such as Cardiovascular Disease and Type II Diabetes. One of the best ways to get children to be active and improve fitness is by enrolling them in a sport, where they can set goals and be around a competitive environment that will motivate them to work hard and build strong muscles and bones. Gymnastics and Swimming are the sports that provide better fitness benefits for children.

One of the children from Grade 4, Samara, is a good learner in gymnastics and she is also good at swimming. She is a Risk Taker child; so, I assisted and encouraged her to try some of the moves of gymnastics while doing swimming. Seeing her talent, I can say that this girl would reach miles in the days to come…!
