An inspiring thought …

The first day back at school started off with lot of excitement, apprehension for a few who were new to the school.  The morning  assembly began with the prayer and the hymn followed by the Principal’s address. He spoke about the remarkable results achieved in the boards by the grade 10 and 12 CBSE students.

Captain Rohit Bajaj then told us of his trip to Jordan, Egypt and Israel which he called a historically, spiritually and culturally enriching experience. He spoke of the rich culture he witnessed in all three countries. Later, he talked to us about his visit to the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea. Though the same waters run from the Sea of Galilee to the Dead Sea, he explained how different they were. The Sea of Galilee is a large fresh water lake in Israel filled with a wide diversity of fish and plants. The same water later flows into the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is the largest salt holding water body. The Dead Sea has no living life due to its large quantity of minerals. The principal then explained to the students that the Dead Sea does not let any water out. It just receives all the water. He enlightened us with the theory that since the Sea of Galilee receives and returns, it is so beautiful with so many living creatures. On the other hand, the Dead Sea only receives and so it is dirty and dull with no living species. He explained that when we receive help, love and support; we must also give it back. Otherwise our life may also turn out to be as dead as the Dead Sea. It was an inspiring thought and a good start for a day.

Dear friends which sea would you like to become? Do you want to be the Sea of Galilee, who not only receives but is willing to share one's talents and resources with others. Remember happiness consists in giving than in receiving. Or do you want be a Dead Sea who only receives and is unwilling to share one's time, thoughts and ideas with others. If so you will be stagnated.
Now let's try to analyse our own lives and see which sea do we represent. Am I Sea of Galilee or Dead Sea? If Dead Sea let's start sharing our talents and time with others.

So which Sea do  you like to be? If Sea of Galilee start sharing your time, resources, ideas and joy with people around you. Give out to others what you have and outflow rather than remaining stagnated and lifeless
