This network enables us to become an outstanding example of community of practice.

2nd June 2011, Thursday at OIS at Newton Campus was one such memorable day for the faculty of CBSE. Around 50 teachers from Newton and Einstein campus along with the CBSE Coordinators of middle and senior school, Vice Principals of both the schools Ms Padma Jyothi and Mr. Venkat Suresh, attended a workshop conducted by Mr. Marthandam from Edu Division People Combine Group.

Mr. Marthandham gave us an insight into the various forms of assessment laying special emphasis on regularity and continuity. He further elaborated that the main purpose of assessment is to use strategies to fill in gaps in teaching for 100% learning outcomes by going beyond the textbook.

The staff of both the campuses worked together on drafting a common year plans and micro plans. The session ended with combined interesting presentations by teachers for all the subjects in which special focus was laid on using effective tools and resources to derive the desired learning outcomes.
