Monday Assembly

"Every accomplishment starts with a decision to try". How true the words sound. Come Monday's Assembly and there is always a message that the students look forward to in the Principal's short stories and parables that he chooses to share with the students. Speaking about his recent visit to Israel he spoke about the vineyard comparing the vine to the school and the students to the branches. He called upon the students to establish a connect with the school 'pruning' themselves in the right direction so that they 'bear fruit' emerging stronger in body, spirit and soul.

Interestingly one can trace the analogy of a vineyard to the Bible where God proclaims he is the vine and people who believe in Him the branches. It is also mentioned that God cares for His human vineyard with compassion and desires that His people be fruitful. These parables speak about simple things in our everyday life yet have a deep meaning and message for us. One does need to discipline himself to a life of toil and commitment to achieve and to ensure his efforts bear fruit.
