Self Awareness Week

Self awareness is the capacity for introspection and the ability to reconcile oneself as an individual. On an interpersonal level, awareness about your strengths and weaknesses wins you’re the trust of others and increases ones credibility. It also helps you utilize yourself to the best you can, knowing your potential and areas of interest eventually leading to success.

Keeping this in mind, sessions were conducted for students of the Junior school.

Self protection sessions were conducted for students of Grades I and II. We conducted sessions with our children on these issues, having them addressed in a clear, yet age appropriate manner.

This theme particularly includes:
·         Good Touch, Bad Touch
·         Encouraging the word ‘No’ during inappropriate gestures.
·      Allowing the child to develop a sense of trust with the parent, so much as to have the child report any such behavior to the parent.
·         Equipping our children to be able to avoid situations as much as possible that allow for such circumstances.
·         Develop a sense of responsibility to own his/her body.
·     Allowing an outlet for parents and children to approach the student advisor on any such behavior either experienced or noticed.
Flyers were given out to parents through students to reinforce the learning that happened.

Students of Grade VI during assembly depicted the effectiveness in being aware of ones self which in turn leads to success. Each one spoke about their strengths and concluding that self awareness is a process we need to go through time and time again. Do take time off today, from your busy schedules to reflect about your strengths and challenges. Take time to know yourself!
