From the Doctors Desk

Stress related disorder is on an alarming rise. The increase in childhood obesity, hypertension, thyroid disorders, and diabetes are on an all time rise. There has to be a conscious effort on the part of the individual and family to make amends and adopt a healthy lifestyle.

Some common changes that can help you cope with stress.
  • -Eat and drink sensibly
  • -Exercise regularly, make it a family routine
  • -Set realistic goals and expectations-it’s ok and very much healthy, you cannot be perfect all the time
  • -Get enough sleep and rest, meditate.
  • -Positive attitude and self esteem are good defenses against stress.
  • -Take a vacation/holiday to unwind.
  • -Effective time management reduces the undue pressure of meeting deadlines and last minute study.

Stress is a normal part of life but handling it correctly from an early age will reduce the impact. Determine stress triggers, avoid them or handle them effectively
Lead a healthy life…….
