It was phenomenal to see
the Grade 6 PYP Exhibition start off on a great note. The entire Grade had been
waiting the whole year only for this special moment…to be harmonized into the
topic of their interest and work on that issue. While some students got the
topic of their preference, others were appeased with whatever came their way. It
was prodigious to see their learning spirit as they did not lose hope and
created an interest in the new topic which they had been given. They did not
give up — this is the hallmark of a true Oakridger….learning the treasure within!
The theme for this year’s
PYP Exhibition is “How the World Works.” It is a very engrossing theme and
consists of many burning issues which can teach a lot to the students. The
theme that I chose is “Space Exploration.” It is a concern which needs a lot of
research and imagination. We started research on our issues right from Day 1 of
the PYP Exhibition class!
On a lighter note, I feel
that this year’s Exhibition is going to be:
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!
