The OAKMUN conference initiated this year concluded on a good note. There were lot of apprehensions and an atmosphere charged with mixed feelings of the outcome but it gives me great pleasure and satisfaction that we could accomplish this task as a team with no major hurdles. There were challenges because we started off late with our planning but the response was very good and so also the feedback.

The closing ceremony started off with a song by the prefects followed by a brief video presentation of the three day conference. There were awards given away for the delegates for good debating skills, good presentation of position papers and so on. Nitish Kulkarni in his closing remarks spoke about the months of hard work by the students in learning every nuance of the UN. Rohit Reddy the Secretary General introduced Aliza Khan as the new Secretary General. Aliza spoke about her responsibility and her aim to live up to the expectations of her teachers and the members of the Secretariat who reposed their trust and confidence in her abilities to organize the MUN in the coming year. With a successful MUN to our credit we hope to introduce many such events that will serve as good platforms for honing leadership skills among students.
