2nd
October is the Birthday of our own “Bapu”, Father of the Nation- Mohandas
Karamchand Gandhi. We the students had
put up a small programme to celebrate this occasion.
A special assembly was held on October 1. It started with the prayer “Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram” sung by the school choir. It was a favourite of Mahatma Gandhi and was also sung on the 390 kilometre long Dandi March in 1930.
A video was prepared by students about the teachings and ideologies of Gandhi. It gave some insight into Mahatma Gandhi’s personality -he was man full of wit and wisdom, a fact well-known, but he had a humorous and sarcastic side to him as well.

The tribute
continued throughout the day with an exhibition prepared by the students of
Grade X (CBSE) in the Atrium. A timeline of Gandhi’s life and important events
relating to India’s Independence was the centrepiece of the display.
