On December 29, 2013, 14 students of Oakridge did the unthinkable.
They arrived at school on a Sunday excited and looking forward to a productive
day. 14 of the IBDP students took 46 children to Smiline Dental hospitals as
part of Spoorthi.
Children of our school’s sub staff had dental check-ups at
Smiline and the Oakridgers helped out by doing administered work like filling
forms and comforting scared children. They even entertained them on the long
bus ride and helped them understand the importance of brushing their teeth. The
experience was very enlightening for the students and the Oakridgers were
delighted to help them gain knowledge about dental hygiene.
