Reflections of FLL Tournament Achievers — CIE Segment

The following students won 2nd Place in the Regional Tournament of the First Lego League (FLL). They have been selected for the National Level Tournament to be held in Pune:

We are the FLL Team named ‘Deccan Technicians’. FLL is a fun competition where kids apply what they have learnt in school to real-life situations. FLL is not about winning and losing — it is about having fun and learning.

There are 4 parts in FLL: Robot Game, Research Project, Core Values, and Robot Design. In Robot Game, we build and program a Robot that has to complete as many missions as possible in 2-and-half minutes. In Research Project, we try to find a solution to a real-world problem based on the theme of the year. Core Values are about learning how to be a good person and how to act inside and outside of FLL. Robot Design is about how we designed and built our Robot. Rithik (7F)

I learnt many things like how to be patient and how to be a good sport etc. In Robot Game, we programmed a Lego Robot using EV3 or NXT software and did many missions to gain points. In the end, we added up the points from the Presentation and Robot Game. Altogether, it was a great learning experience and we had fun! Nikhil (7G)
