Students’ Reflections: Library Assembly on World Read Aloud Day

I felt really happy being a part of Library Assembly as I understood more about anti-bullying and I became more sensitive towards this issue. I also got a chance to improve my drama skill through Library Assembly. We also told everybody to read to their drivers, maids and their kids to celebrate WRAD (World Read Aloud Day).

We also spoke about Mem Fox, the author who wrote a picture book called “Whoever You Are.” It’s a wonderful book which talks about discrimination. I hope everybody joins hands to tackle the issue so that each person has a better future ahead.

The Library department conducted a special Assembly on World Read Aloud Day; on the same day, it was a great author’s (Mem Fox) birthday. We performed a skit with the message: Reading is the right of each and every person and the one who can read has to help the people who can’t read.

After the Assembly was over, my friends and I worked together and spread the news to different people. We went to different classes and told them what they can do on World Read Aloud Day and why we should do it.
