Student’s Reflection: PYP Exhibition — The Milestone Event for Grade VI

It is required by the students of PYP (Primary Years Program) to put up an Exhibition — that inculcates all the ‘5 Essential Elements’ of PYP — before they graduate to MYP (Middle Years Program). Today was the D-Day for me to showcase my understanding of PYP.

We selected the theme: ‘How the World Works.’ Our esteemed teachers mentored us to work upon burning local issues of global significance.  I chose the topic ‘Diseases and Disorders’ with special reference to Smoking and Drug diseases. I had 8 other members along with me.

Our groups assembled in the MPH along with our Exhibits. I was twiddling my thumbs, repeating and rehearsing my lines over and over again in my mind until the first parent came along and stopped by my table. All my nervousness vanished into thin air and I was able to remember, retain, and repeat my part with gusto.

Impressed with my knowledge, confidence, and enthusiasm, the parents started fielding questions at me. Thankfully, I had researched well; so, I was able to answer their queries so satisfactorily that one parent complimented that I was on my way to Harvard!!

What a wonderful day!!
