The students of Grade 5 E performed “Artist and Canvas” as part of the Formative Assessment for second line of Inquiry of their ongoing POI unit “Self Identity”. In this assessment the children were divided into groups. In every group a child was the Artist and the other was the Canvas.
The artist prepared the canvas depicting one of the various cultures of the world. While presenting, the Artist introduced the canvas and then pressed the “Start Button” on the Canvas. After this, the Canvas spoke. The best part of the whole process was that the children came up with amazing ideas to depict the cultures and the social norms. It was a treat to watch them perform so confidently and creatively.
