On February 1, we the students of 11th Grade accompanied by
Ms. Shalini Samuel, set out to make a difference. As part of our CAS activity,
we visited an Old Age Home in New Bhoiguda, Secunderabad. To us, it was more
than just an activity — it was an experience that was emotive, memorable, and
touching.
As soon as we reached there, we were awe-struck by the deafening
silence that greeted us and subconsciously reminded us to be respectful. Soon
enough, we realised that these people are strong individuals and are truly
inspiring. This visit was an opportunity for us to converse with them and try
to fill a gap in their hearts that can only be filled with love.
This visit has left many of us with the treasured memory of a day that
couldn’t have been spent in a better manner. We were able to make them giggle,
sing, and enjoy. We were able to make them
recollect happy memories and spread happiness.
