Student’s Reflection on ‘Walkathon’

The ‘Walkathon’ was conducted by Oakridge International School with the support of an organisation called ‘Let’s Vote’. It is very important for every responsible citizen to vote for the brighter future of the country. This is the main objective of the organisation.

We assembled at the entrance of the KBR Park in Jubilee Hills — all set to walk for the great cause. This was a 3-km walk starting from the entrance of the Park to the Jubilee Hills Check Post and back. This was truly an amazing experience as we were playing the role of responsible citizens working for the welfare of the country. We also went around distributing cards which stated the importance of voting and why people should vote.

I’m sure this would have appealed to many people and we hope that almost every adult of the country would be present at the poll booth during the elections and vote to make India a better place to live in.
