We had one of our
students from the first IB batch (2008), Taha Hameduddin, payed us a visit on 5th
June, 2014. It was nice for him as well as us to see him reminiscing with the
teachers and interacting with the students.
The last time Taha was in school was over four years ago. It was
heartening experience to see an intersection between his growth and the growth
of the school. He was walking around school and seemed pleased by the amount
school has grown, with regard to the student body as well as the
infrastructure.
Some news he shared with us, that we feel proud sharing with you is
that he is going to be starting his PhD program this August (2014) at Indiana
University, Bloomington. The University is funding him completely and he is looking
forward come share his journey with the kids once the school is back to its
full functionality.
Any establishment is worth only as much as the people in it. The
strength and influence of Oakridge is visible by the effort its Alumni make to
come back to their roots.
