"To read is to empower
To empower is to write
To write is to influence
To Influence is to change
To change is to live."
~ Jane Evershed ~

Yes, it’s true!! I have displayed a chart on library’s soft boards for each grade for their “Favorite Book” called “FAVOURITE BOOKS” Our students read the borrowed book at home and if they find it interesting, they may fill in the columns in FAVOURITE BOOKS.

Students are welcome to pen down their thoughts through the “FAVOURITE BOOK”. Our Children are open-minded, communicators and reflective in sharing their thoughts through the “FAVOURITE BOOKs.”

It helps in several ways:

Ø It makes the children to remember the Title of the book.

Ø The children’s mind starts thinking about the PYP Profile and Attitude of the book as they have to write in the FAVOURITE BOOKs. They cultivate the habit of concentrating on the profiles and attitudes while they read.

Ø The “Learning Outcome” expresses the moral of the book.

Ø The “Rating column” stimulates the other children to read the book of the other’s favourite book.

Thus, it helps and leads the students in different ways to express and develop their PYP Profiles and Attitudes.
