Our Investiture ceremony

image

Every year at Oakridge we have our Investiture ceremony, where we all stand proud to see our leaders of school take their places, and we all look up to them. This year our Investiture ceremony was in the Multi Purpose Hall from 10 A.M to 11 A.M. We all assembled there by 9:50 and sat down according to our houses. The ceremony began with the junior school choir singing our school song and ‘Top of the world’. Then came the exciting part. In came our prefects who would take up great responsibilities this academic session. They were all standing tall and proud. They marched to the front and took their places. Then our Principal, H.M ma’am ,Vice Principal and Bursar felicitated the prefects with their sashes. The prefects all felt proud and so did we to have our friends on stage who were ready to make the best of their opportunity. The Principal then addressed all of us which was then followed by the head boy and the head girl who proposed the vote of thanks. We then sang the national anthem and dispersed. At the end of the day all the teachers and students of the student council were treated to a chocolate cake for their hard work and effort put. All in all it was a wonderful ceremony and everyone had a great time.
