Grade II Field Trip to Salarjung Museum

Grade 2 children (sections A, D, G and H) had visited Salarjung Museum in context to their UOI topic “Then and now”, where children were amazed to see very old paintings, different toys made of wood, clay and bronze, olden days clothing, carved metal utensils and many more which were once used by the Mughals. Learners made good connection of these past things with the present available things.

They enjoyed the trip a lot and were very excited to know about the things in the past. Children also wrote wonderful reflections on this trip.

A few reflections by our learners:

 “The Nizams wore clothes weaved with gold threads and now we wear clothes made of cotton and silk.” - Aditya Kasturi {2 G}

 “From the field trip I learned that the things were very delicate” - Anand{2 G}

 “ still wonder how the olden day’s weapons look like. I learnt that we don’t have much stuff which they had in the past.” - Sanjana { 2J}
