Getting Started with Grade VI PYP Exhibition

The awaited moment of grouping students based on their chosen topics for Grade VI PYP Exhibition finally happened.  Revolving around the Transdisciplinary Theme, ‘How the World Works,’ 9 burning topics were taken up for the students to work on. They include: Disturbing the ecosystem, Food adulteration, Natural disaster, Water crisis, Power crisis, Man & machines, Diseases & disorders, Waste management, and Space & exploration.

It was fun and interesting to get a new set of 24 enthusiastic learners who are driven with a passion to work on the topic ‘Natural Disasters.’ Day one started with students writing down and sharing their big idea on the topic. Jigsaw Puzzle (pictures of disasters) followed by a task to identify and also to write some points/popcorn words on what they think and understand about the picture were also carried out well. Enthusiasm and curiosity is getting the students to a good start.
