Zero Bullying: Whole School Program — Anti-bullying Awareness Initiative

In connection with the Anti-bullying Day on 28th February, the Counseling and SI unit is conducting awareness initiatives for staff, parents, and teachers of Oakridge International School, Newton Campus. The ‘Zero Bullying: Whole School Program’ commenced on 11th February and will go on till 28th February for Junior School and from 18th-28th March for Senior School.

Awareness programs were conducted:

Grade 2 students: ‘Who is a bully?' session and 'Draw a bully' mask competition. 
Grade 3 and 4 students: 'Psychological effects of bullying' session and 'Bully-Buster' rhyme/slogan competition.
Grade 5 and 6 students: 'Bullies Out' poster competition and 'Cyberbullying' sessions.

Student Rally and Street Play with students of Grades 5 and 6 for promoting anti-bullying awareness were conducted on 25th and 26th February. An awareness exhibition 'Bully, Bullied, and Bystanders' will be held on 28th February. The 'Oakridge Anti-bullying Alliance' (Staff) and 'Oakridge Anti-bullying Squad' (students) meeting for Junior and Senior Schools will be held on 28th February. 'Bully-free Safe School' — Ideas competition (around 200 words) is open to all Junior and Senior School students and staff.
