Greater than, less than concept through a story

Children of Grade 1F enjoyed the ‘Allie the Alligator’ story to learn about greater than and less than concept. They were taught that the alligator is greedy and always wants to eat the bigger number. His mouth opens towards the bigger number. When the numbers are the same, he can't decide which one to eat and closes his mouth, which makes the equals sign.
This fun way of teaching helped to understand the concept really well. Later they came up with their own understanding and narrated the story.
