Let the Math-a-game begin…

Grade 2 conducts” Game Set Math” every Thursday in the class hours. This was the very first week where the kids had an exposure of the GSM. The sheet consists of 15 questions where the kids have to answer them as quick as they can as their work is timed. The GSM takes over six weeks for a particular concept covered and then moves on.

Since it was the first time they attempted the kids had all the possible doubts in mind where they needed clarity. The sheet of questions was given to the kids and then the minds started to tickle around numbers wanting to complete the sheet as soon as they could. The fingers were moving and they were all focussed on their work. The moment they finished the paper they felt that it was not as scary as they thought, it would be. The timing was noted and they breathed a sigh of relief and a feeling of accomplishment.
The students gave in their reflections as follows:

GSM we thought it would be hard but it’s pretty much simple
Math is always fun so when it came to timing our work we were all ready.
I recapped all my learnt concepts.
No preparation is required for GSM it is just what we have learnt.
