During
the month of September, nearly 30 students from VII and VIII grades made an
Ed-Venture trip to Tenali to practically understand the various Agricultural
practices.
Students
had a live experience of the farm fields where they actually performed the
field work which included uprooting
of selected paddy saplings from a nearby nursery and then planting on to a section
of the field. They also visited various farms in nearby areas of Tenali.
Students
interacted with the various farmers to understand the actual parameters
required for increasing the crop production. Also, many questions related to
Crop rotation and Mixed cultivation were also answered by the farmers which
helped students to relate their classroom learnings.
During
the visit, few students were interviewed by the local newspaper reporter about
the purpose of their visit, which got published recently in the local edition
of Tenali Eenadu Newspaper.
