Buzzing around the
halls of Oakridge were grades 1 & 2 adorning the colours of a bee. Vibrantly
dressed children enlivened the campus.
Wednesday saw the
Spell Bee take place much to the delight and eagerness of students. Several
demanded more rounds of challenges. Students were challenged using two
strategies and word search. Strategies were chosen based on that they are
familiar with and words ranging in over a span of certain spell sets.
The
purpose of spell bee is to help students to improve their spelling, increase
their vocabulary. The wonderful thing about Spell Bee day is the celebration
which motivates spellers and others too.
