In connection with our ongoing Unit of Inquiry ‘Community Helpers’
students of PP1s went on a field trip to the Fire Station and
Restaurant on 21 November, 2013. Learners inquired about
different people working in our community. It was very informative and
students asked lot of questions to the fire fighters and their role in the
community. They gained knowledge on safety rules, also witnessed a demo on
rescue operation during any such emergency situation.
We would also like to thank our parent Mrs. Sumita Ganguli of PP1D for
the arrangement and warm welcome to her Restaurant – Call of Bengal.
The
little Oakridgers were introduced to the Chef, Manager, Security guard, housekeeping
and various other people involved in the restaurant. Overall it was a wonderful
experience for the learners and they showed lot of enthusiasm during the trip.
