Children's Day Celebration

We celebrated Children's day on the 13th of November with great fervour and enthusiasm. All the teachers planned the day with the focus of making it special for our students. Classrooms were decorated with balloons and streamers before the students arrived. The board also had a display of best wishes from the class teacher.

For the students of grade 7 E, I had planned for a special treat. I prepared badges for the students with their names in blue and two words describing them in red. The students came one at a time, picked up a name and read out the qualities written in red. The others would guess the name of the student. After taking all the guesses, the name of the student was called out and the badge was pinned onto the shirt along with a smiley face pin. The person who read out the qualities also chose the pin and a chocolate for the student. This created a positive friendly environment in the class and everyone cheered for each other.

We cut a cake and sat down to watch a movie together. In the afternoon, the students enjoyed a program performed by the teachers. It was a very special day for the teachers to see the beautiful smiles that lit the students' faces.

Regards,
Ranjani
