Jr School Investiture Ceremony

I am not interested in power for power's sake, but I'm interested in power that is moral, that is right and that is good."  Martin Luther King, Jr.

The investiture ceremony of the Junior school was organised with all its grandeur on 20 July 2012 in the MPH. It is note worthy that the elections for the student council were held democratically through secret ballot after the students filed nominations and campaigned for their post.

We also included a 20 member volunteer team to take the school from strength to strength.

The solemn ceremony began with the song, ’I’m on the top of the world ‘  and then as the comperes announced the names, the newly elected leaders marched forward  to the beat of the drum and took their positions. They were formally vested with their powers and positions by the Principal Capt.Rohit Bajaj, Headmistress, Ms.Hema Sanjay, Vice Principal, Ms.Jyothi Turaga and IBDP Coordinator,Mr.Biju Baby. The Principal then addressed the gathering and later administered the oath.

The parents of the elected members looked on proudly and recognized the fact that the School has gone a long way in nurturing these leaders.

Later the volunteers walked up to the stage and received their badges. The ceremony came to an end with the rendition of the school song followed by the National Anthem.

A memorable day indeed in the lives of these little leaders, their parents and the school.
