Oakridge
junior school celebrated International Mother Tongue day with great enthusiasm
and gusto. We at Oakridge believe that a child can learn more quickly and
effectively if they develop their mother tongue at the same time Mother tongue
helps one develop cognitively and comprehensively. Bearing this in mind parents
were invited to narrate, speak, and interact with the children of the class in
their own mother tongue. It was a program well executed and children imbibed
positive attributes like respecting other languages, urge to learn other languages,
knowing the beauty of other languages and learning about the culture of various
states.
Children realized that though people of our country speak so many different languages
they are still united as one.
