INQUIRY IN THE LIBRARY

A library that supports and enhances the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program is a special place that is guided by the IB mission.  Students develop literacy skills that encourage them to become lifelong learners.
Our PYP library initiated an inquiry about an Author with Grade 1 children. Children were encouraged to make some predictions about the books written by Roger Hargreaves. Children were divided into groups and given a book to read.
It was a purposeful, constructive and objects driven research.
