Students of Grade VI (A, B, C, D) had gone on a field trip to Salarjung
Museum, Hyderabad on 28th January in regard to the Unit of Inquiry, Culture. Entering the Eastern and Western blocks of
the Museum took everyone to the time machine of the past.
Galleries visited
were: Toys & Dolls, Flora & Fauna, Chinese, Japanese, French,
Porcelain, Statuary, Wood Carving & furniture, Glass, Clock, Painting, etc.
The artefacts provided a window to the past culture. Students learnt about the
changes in the design and pattern from past to present. Each culture is unique
and holds an important place in identifying oneself. It was an interesting and
informative learning experience for the students.
